Strip Clubs vs. Sewer Plants

If you had to make a choice, which would you rather have in your
back door...
a strip club or a sewer plant? First, consider the following:

Sewer plants, like the one in Millwood, WV have the following characteristics:
1. Noisy (motors can be heard sometimes up to about one-half mile away)
2. An eye sore...just look at the sewer plant photo on MillwoodWV.com
3. Depreciate a person's property value (if located nearby)
4. Stink (even though it wasn't supposed to)....just like a sewer.
(Sometimes some people can smell the odor about 1,000 feet away).

Strip clubs are often said to have the following characteristics:
1. Noisy (especially if there is any misconduct due to drinking, etc.)
2. An eye sore...the opinions of some people who live nearby
3. Depreciate a person's property value (if located nearby)
4. Stink...no, no, no...I have never heard anyone say that strip clubs stink!

When comparing the above, some people might choose to have a
strip club in their back door rather than a sewer plant. Usually the
noise from a strip club is not going to be heard half-a-mile away, and
I don't think strip clubs could ever come close to smelling like a sewer.
(I'm not saying strip clubs are good...but rather just making a comparison).

Mention the word "strip club" in Jackson County, West Virginia, and an
ordinance is passed so quick it would make your head spin. Mention the
problems of the sewer plant to the same elected officials, and, uh, well, uh...
Does anyone care? If so, why has little if anything been done to investigate and
correct the sewer odor problem? Remember, during the design phase, the sewer
plant was to be a contained, underground facility (not a sewer lagoon), and
was not supposed to stink (at least there was to be no smell 200 feet away).
