Route 2 road trash / highway litter in the Mount Alto,
Millwood, and Ravenswood, West Virginia area
 ( Photos taken Feb. 24, 2006 / March 15, 2006 / March 20, 2006)

 The following two photos were taken near I-77 Exit 138 in Ripley, WV
on March 20, 2006. The DOH is seen picking up trash along the interstate.

How are the interstates and 4 lanes kept so clean?
It's simple. I saw 2 people of the DOH picking up trash
along I-77 in Ripley, West Virginia on March 20, 2006.

much trash, so I doubt if they needed a dump truck.
(A pickup truck would be more economical).


Please Do Not Litter! Keep West Virginia "Clean".
Please don't dump trash! Dispose of it properly.


Obviously there is a big difference between the amount of trash on Route 2 in the Millwood, WV area and near Exit 146 of I-77 at Ravenswood, WV (about 8 miles apart). But when the tree leaves come out soon, you won't be able to see the trash as much. So someone should make a big effort to get it cleaned up QUICK!

Each year the DOH plants so called "West Virginia wild flowers" along I-77 near Ravenswood and Ripley, WV (it's hard to say at what cost), but in my opinion it seems there is a lot of neglect of other Jackson County roads.
